Frequently asked questions
You may notice that Claudia is referred to as Alexandra Romanova throughout the day, as well as on this website.
This is her baptismal name, given at her chrismation into the Orthodox Church. In Orthodox tradition, we each take the name of a patron saint at baptism - Patrick's happens to be Saint Patrick.
For Claudia, Alexandra Romanova is the name she bears before God and the Church, and as our wedding is first and foremost a religious sacrament, it felt right to honour that on the day.
You are encouraged to refer to her as you are most comfortable.
Whilst at Church: Shoulders and knees should be covered for men and women. Ladies are welcome, and traditionally encouraged, to bring a hat or headscarf to wear inside the church, though this is not compulsory. In reverse, men are expected to remove any headwear.
During the Celebration: Please dress as you feel comfortable, we expect for ties to be off and heels to be in the hands of dutiful husbands by the end of the night. We kindly request that no white dresses are worn.
Please refer to the 'Schedule' section on the website for further information.

If you'd like to give a gift, we'd be truly grateful for contributions to our honeymoon fund.
We're also supporting two charities close to our hearts, if you're happy to, we'd love for 15% of any gift to go towards these.
Anything beyond the honeymoon will go towards setting up our home together and our future as a family.
Please see the 'Gifts & Donations' page on the website for more information.
Children are very welcome at our wedding. We'll have a private, supervised playroom with entertainment for little ones of various ages, so they're well looked after and parents can enjoy the day.
We're also happy to help with babysitting or dog-sitting costs for anyone who would otherwise struggle to attend. Just get in touch and we'll sort something out.
IMPORTANT: Due to capacity at Peckforton Castle, we've had to be selective about which children we're able to invite, and we're sorry if yours aren't on the list, it's purely a numbers thing and not a reflection of how much we'd love to have them there. If you're unsure, please just ask, we'll do what we can.
Chance would be a fine thing.
